Anyone ever have any issues with their eboost cutting out on high psi? There's been times where I hit 18+psi the eboost screen goes blank. it still has power bc the led gauge will still be lite up. Buttons won't work. I have to turn car off/on and then it works normal. Gonna check the power/ground but would think that if it's that it would do it all the time.

You can see it in the below video on the 2nd run.

55 sec time mark
http://youtu.be/UrUP4O9D1rE

Do I need a heavier spring or is there something else I should be aware of?

Love your product, Thank You in advance!

Eboost 2 psi raises per gear at track

Hello, I have an eboost2 on a 06 mustang gt with at 67mm precision turbo, other brand 38mm wastegate with a 5.7psi spring, 4.6L V8 and I also have a QTP electric cutout. Target boost is 9psi. When I tuned the car with the controller I had it set up with an SP of 25, GP of 5.5psi, and SN of 20. This held a good 9psi once fully spooled w/o the QTP installed. This past weekend I went to the track and had the qtp cutout open and at a lower SP value(started low-SP5) the boost would start low around 6.9 and climb to about mid 7's in 2nd mid 8's in 3rd, and then ramping up higher in 4th before I crossed the line at 124mph. I did try to adjust the SP value up to 15 to gain a little more pressure in 2nd & 3rd and adjusted the sensitivity up to 21. It seemed to help a little bit but I still crossed the traps with about 11psi. Thats too much for what I'm shooting for in 4th but less than what I want in 2nd and 3rd. I've considered just wiring the grounding wires to switches to adjust between boost groups but its hard to shift and then have to worry about flipping switches too. Is there anything else I can try? It doesn't seem to do that on the street, but I don't normally go WOT for 11seconds on the street and 1st thru 4th gear. Its also hard to do any 4th gear pulls as I shift from 3rd to 4th over 100mph. This is using a 2step and wot box as well so between shifts I'm keeping the go pedal matted. Thanks in advance!

Here is a video of the vehicle from this weekend. In the 3rd pass or so you can see the eboost2 in a vent pod and can notice the bar graph under the digital display start to increase as the gears go up. Please help.

http://youtu.be/UbQsXYSfPYM

Turbosmart Dual Port RED: TS-0205-1020 (Mits. Evo 8MR-JDM)

Application on Evolution 8MR (JDM/Stock condition)
Location: Malaysia

I just bought & install the Turbosmart Dual Port RED: TS-0205-1020, replacing my existing BOV (stock). Previously on stock BOV the car managed to boost up to 1.5 bar (DEFI reading) then after installed the Turbosmart it could only manage to boost up to 1.3bar (DEFI reading).

During installation I try 2 setups.

1st Setup.
Fully recirculation similar setup to stock condition. The back pressure/surge are too high can be notice by loud of noise produce back to turbo. I tried by turn the dial from Soft to hard. When at Soft dial, I unable to boost up only manage to get 0.7bar. While on Hard dial, it’s able to manage around 1.1bar but resulting the back pressure/surge to high. Worried of the out come, proceed to.

2nd Setup
I try 50/50. After tuning the dial around close to Hard dial, I manage to boost at 1.3bar. That’s the best I could get but the back pressure/flutters happens while changing the gears (less noticeable compare to 1st setup). While at Softest dial I could only boost up to 0.7bar. Very weird for me.

Luckily my idle still normal for both setup.

My Q, is it normal the boost reduce after changing the BOV?
What is the Maximum capabilities for this BOV to hold boost (what Bar)?

Your assistance very much appreciated.

Now my questions may sound a little newbish so bare with me, this is my first EBC install so i'm going to play it safe.

At the moment i have the EBC wired up with just the ignition/ground and RPM signal wire. I don't have any Aux source so i take it i leave that wire disconnected. As for the green wire. Does this need to be connected? From what i gather its so i can externally switch my boost setting?

So at the moment the green, orange and white wire are disconnected. Is this alright?

Thanks.
